MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The 2010 St. Thomas Alumni Volleyball game was played this weekend in the Fernandez Center for the first time.  A great group of alumni showed up to challenge the 2010 Volleyball team in an exhibition.

2010 Volleyball: Pre-season Outlook
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The 2009 Volleyball team finished the season 12-9 and 11-8 in the Sun Conference. The Bobcats lost two starters last season in Adriana Montilla and Fernanda Reves but returned several underclassmen to rebuild for the 2010 campaign.

St Thomas Volleyball signs three more for 2010

MIami Gardens, Fla. - The St. Thomas Volleyball program announced today that Betina Schmidt, Aline Viapiana and Mayara Gomes have signed a grant in aid form to play for the Bobcats next season. This closes out a very accomplished and experienced recruiting class for 2010 for Women's Volleyball.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas University has announced the signing of Ashley Gutierrez to a grant-in-aid to play for the Bobcats in 2010. Ashley Gutierrez is a 5-foot-11 Middle Hitter from Miami, Fl. She played volleyball for 3 seasons at Mater Academy Charter High School.

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas University is pleased to announce the signing of Carolina Nuche to a grant-in-aid to play for the Bobcats in 2010. Nuche is a 5-foot-9 right side hitter from Miami, Fl. She played volleyball for 3 seasons at Lourdes High School.

Freideman Sifontes named STU Volleyball Coach
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- The 2010 volleyball season will be the first for Freideman Sifontes as head coach and 3rd overall on the Bobcats’ staff. Sifontes was previously an assistant for the Bobcats under former head coach, Mauricio Diaz.

Daytona Beach, Fla.- The Volleyball team traveled to Embry-Riddle's campus Friday for the first-round of the Sun Conference Tournament.  The Bobcats fell to Warner in four games.
