DAYTONA BEACH, FL – The St. Thomas University men's and women's tennis teams participated in the Wilson ITA Regional Championships.  Both teams accomplished some of the best results since participating in the event.  The tennis teams were represented by Kenneth Evans, Ricky Vasquez, Williams Fountain, Jeremy Bache, Andrew Rifkin, Oscar Marquez, Federico Acevedo, Manuela Gils, and Natalia Ramirez. 

Fountain Rifkin, Vasquez, and Bache all had impressive first round victories defeating Warner Southern and Embry-Riddle respectively.  The team eventually went on to win the back draw by defeating Webber International University in the finals.  Gil won the consolation tournament for the women's team defeating Embry-Riddle in the finals.  She also teamed up with Ramirez to win the back draw women's doubles final.
