WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.-  The Women's Basketball team hit the hardwood for the second and final night of the Northwood seasonal Tournament Thursday.  STU won their fourth game of the season, defeating Notre Dame (OH) 61-51.

The first half was a back-and-forth affair despite STU jumping out to a quick lead.  The Bobcats outrebounded ND (8-3) in the first half, 23-16, and gained the edge in shooting, 30-23%.  STU took a 23-22  lead into the locker room.

The Bobcats opened the second half with a 6-0 run, which flustered the ND bench into getting a technical foul.  STU managed to hold onto their lead for the entire second half and added their third consecutive win, 61-51.  Cindy Castrillon led all scorers with 29 and near-perfect 14-15 from the free-throw line.  Amanda Fernandez came very close to a double-double with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals to boot.  The Bobcats (4-3) will get two weeks rest before heading to the Peninsula Classic in Atherton, Ca December 29.
