Volleyball signs Ashley Gutierrez

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas University has announced the signing of Ashley Gutierrez to a grant-in-aid to play for the Bobcats in 2010. Ashley Gutierrez is a 5-foot-11 Middle Hitter from Miami, Fl. She played volleyball for 3 seasons at Mater Academy Charter High School.

Ashley was a 2 sport athlete at Mater Academy where she played Volleyball and Basketball. Gutierrez was voted to the 3rd team all dade in volleyball and excelled in the classroom where she was part of the honor roll all through High School. Ashley Gutierrez helped her Volleyball team attain District Championships in both the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

St. Thomas volleyball continues to add to the roster now with the athleticism of Ashley Gutierrez. Gutierrez is the second signing for the very promising 2010 class.
