MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - St. Thomas University left-handed pitcher Emilo Ogando has been selected in 12th round (363rd overall) by the Kansas City Royals in the 2014 Major League Baseball Draft.

As a junior this past season for the Bobcats, Ogando went 7-2 with a 2.34 ERA.  He recorded a team-best 104 strikeouts in 84.2 innings pitched.  Ogando was a first-team All Sun Conference selection.
