MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – The Women’s Tennis team was swept Saturday in matches against Middlebury. The Bobcats contended well in several matches but could not gather a point towards the final tally. The pairing of Manuela Gil and Ydsia Quintero in STU’s first double match ended with a 9-7 total, the Bobcats’ closest match of the day. Bridget Castillo and Stephanie Pfeffer went down 8-1, while Camille Allen and Alina Ramirez contested but fell 8-5. Gil lost her singles match, 6-0 6-2, Castillo lost, 6-1 6-1, Quintero, 6-3 6-0, Pfeffer, 6-2 6-3, Allen, 6-0 6-0 and Beatrice Giovanardi, 6-1 6-0.
