Football Routs Thomas For Homecoming Triumph

Miami Gardens, Fla. – In a football battle held at the familiar grounds of AutoNation Field, St. Thomas University Bobcats delivered a resounding victory against Thomas University Night Hawks, with a final score of 66-13. The game, which took place on November 1, 2025, saw the Bobcats (4-3, 2-2) capitalize on their home-field advantage to dominate the visiting Night Hawks (0-8, 0-0) in a display of offensive firepower and defensive solidity.

From the opening drive the Bobcats established their dominance, racking up an impressive 28 points in the first quarter. The offensive line created holes for running backs, while the passing game efficiently moved the ball downfield leaving the visitors' defense struggling to contain the onslaught. The Bobcats continued their scoring spree in the second quarter, adding another 21 points to their tally.

Thomas University managed to find the end zone in the second quarter, providing a glimmer of hope for their supporters. However, the St. Thomas defense quickly regrouped, stifling any attempts by the Night Hawks to gain momentum. In the second half, St. Thomas continued to control the game, adding 7 points in the third quarter and another 10 in the fourth. Thomas University managed to score again in the final quarter, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.

Key contributors for St. Thomas included standout performances from Keely Watson, who led the rushing attack with 194 yards and 3 TD's, and Isaiah Lopez, who added 116 yards on the ground and 2 TD's. Aaron Wilson and David Hayes also made significant contributions to the Bobcats' offensive output. On the Thomas University side, Quentavious Hun showcased his talent with 105 rushing yards, while Javyonn Waters added 40 yards.

The game, which lasted two hours and thirty minutes, concluded with St. Thomas University celebrating a well-deserved victory in front of their home crowd with a final score of 66-13. While Thomas University fought hard and displayed moments of promise, they were ultimately outmatched by a St. Thomas team that executed their game plan with precision and intensity.

The Bobcats will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming game next weekend Webber, while the Night Hawks will aim to regroup and address the areas where they fell short in this contest.
