STU MEN DOMINATE BATTLE FOR MIAMI GARDENS

Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - 21st ranked St. Thomas improved to 11-3 and 4-0 in conference with a 87-67 win over Florida Memorial in a Sun Conference game on Thursday night. Senior guards Kevin Hincapie (21 pts) and Floyd Battle (20 pts) combined for 41 points to lead the Bobcats.

Hincapie shot 9-of-13 from the field and 3-of-4 from the three-point line en route to scoring 20 or more points for the fourth time this season and the third time in the last four games. In his fourth 20-point game as well, Battle also shot 9-of-13 and hit one three-pointer. For the season, Battle (16.7 ppg) and Hincapie (15.8 ppg) lead the Bobcats in scoring through 14 games.

Also scoring in double figures for STU were Demonte' Simpson and Demetris Allen who came off the bench to score 14 and 10 points respectively. As a team, the St. Thomas bench outscored the FMU bench 35-24.

The Bobcats have won four straight games dating back to a 83-74 win over then-no. 6 Hastings (Neb.). Next up for the Bobcats is a home game vs. Sun Conference foe Webber International (5-6, 2-1).
