MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas (4-0) remained perfect on the season with an 88-83 win over Talladega (2-2) Tuesday night at the Fernandez Family Center. Armand Shoon led the Bobcats with 20 points.
The Bobcats continue to roll as they kept the game close 'til the end, ultimately taking down the Tornadoes in their home opener at the Fernandez Family Center.
St. Thomas went in to the half with a 47-38 point lead, which gave them momentum to push past an opponent that gave them a tough fight.
Leading the Bobcats to victory were Shoon (20 points, two assists and two steals), Kristers Zeidaks (16 one assist and three steals), and Tim Sada (15 points, two assists and two steals). Michael Walker II closed out the match with 13 points, two assists, two blocks and two steals.
Next up for St. Thomas is an exhibition match against Nova Southeastern on Friday, November 11 at 7 p.m. in Fort Lauderdale.
