Senior Tim Sada led the Bobcats with 24 points making four three-pointers and going 8-of-8 from the free throw line.
Antoine Joe scored 12 points and Brandon Cueto scored 11 as the only other Bobcats in double figures.
STU hung around with the Buccaneers in the first half, trailing 50-42 at intermission. Barry, behind hot three-point shooting, then ran away with the victory in the second half.
St. Thomas returns to action on Saturday with The Sun Conference opener vs. local rival Florida Memorial at 5 p.m. ET.
