MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (December 1, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball (3-2) began the holiday season with a 95-68 win against the Florida National University Conquistadors (2-7) on Tuesday night from the Fernandez Family Center.

- Ray got the Bobcats on the board with the game's first points, converting both free throw attempts.Â
- FNU tied the game, 2-2, moments later with a lay-up.
- Waite broke the deadlock with a lay-up of his own. Russell followed with a steal on the defensive end.Â
- Florida National took its first lead of the game, 9-8, with 14-minutes remaining in the first half.Â
- However, the Conquistadors' lead was short-lived as Quinterious Jones notched his first points, putting the Bobcats ahead 10-9.Â
- Back-to-back dunks for STU, by Jones and Jahsim Floyd, allowed St. Thomas to reclaim the lead, 14-12.Â
- Midway through the first half, Russell put STU ahead 20-18 with a lay-up.
- Waite halted a brief 7-0 run by the Conquistadors by making a three-pointer, putting the score at 30-26.
- Antoine Joe followed the Waite three-pointer with a three-point make of his own, bringing the Bobcats within one, 30-29.
- FNU outscored St. Thomas 14-8 over the final five minutes of the first half, heading into the break leading, 44-37.
- Dante Pace cut the deficit to 46-44 with a three-point bucket in the early minutes of the second half.Â
- Richmond gave the Bobcats a 49-48 lead with a fastbreak lay-up.
- Joe capped off a 10-0 run for STU with a jump shot and put St. Thomas ahead, 54-48.Â

- Following the brief break in the action, Russell brought the Bobcats back within two, 69-67.
- Floyd drove from the top of the key to the basket and converted a lay-up, reclaiming the St. Thomas advantage, 74-73.
- Jones continued to lead the charge for STU, scoring six straight points, as the Bobcats led 80-76 with five minutes remaining.
- Joe sank a dagger three-pointer to put STU ahead 87-78.
- Jones ended his evening with his final two points, as STU took a 93-84 lead into the game's last minute.
- STU closed out the game with the third home win of the season, 95-86.Â
