MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (November 13, 2021) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team (2-1, 0-1 SUN) fell to the Florida Memorial University Lions (3-2, 1-0 SUN) in the Sun Conference opener at home, 93-89, on Saturday evening.

• Florida Memorial opened the game with back-to-back three pointers to take a 6-0 lead.
• Will Brown III scored the first Bobcat points with a three-pointer to make it 6-3.
• The Lions would go ahead up nine, with eight minutes left in the first half at 27-18.
•  Kyle Feldman would come off the bench and be a floor change spark scoring back-to-back three pointers to bring the game within two at 31-29.
• Dwayne Russell would score a layup before the half to take the score 36-34 heading into the half.
• Brown came out ready from halftime scoring from behind the arc to take the lead for the first time all game.
• St. Thomas opened the second half on an 8-1 run to take a four-point lead.
• Augustus Stone converted on back-to-back and-one attempts that helped fuel the Bobcat crowd to bring the moment back to the home side.
• Florida Memorial would flip the script and regain a seven-point lead with 12:47 left in regulation.
• After being down by nine at the 7:14 mark, the Bobcats went on a 10-0 run to take a one-point in a two-minute span.
• 40 minutes was not enough for the teams as the game headed to overtime tied at 77.
• Jahsim Floyd got the juice flowing on the first play slamming down a dunk to get the Fernandez Center going.
• Stone added two free throws to take an early four-point lead.
• The Lions game behind the arc proved to be the difference maker as the Lions took the victory 93-89.
