- Back-to-back baskets from Whitaker and Floyd gave STU an early 4-2 lead over the Nighthawks.
- Russell followed with two consecutive makes of his own, extending the STU lead to 8-6.
- Waite netted a three-point make, padding the St. Thomas advantage.
- Seven Ferguson made each of his first three-point attempts to give the Bobcats a 19-12 lead.
- Antoine Joe recorded his first three points of the game midway through the first half and put the score at 22-16.
- Five minutes later, TU tied the game 25-25.

- Waite knocked down another three-pointer, giving STU a 52-49 lead at the halfway point of the second half.
- With less than five minutes remaining in the game, TU took a 63-61 lead.
- Rogers tied the game with a lay-up, which was the last time Thomas led for the remainder of the game.
- STU closed the game on a 16-6 run, over the final 4:28 to earn a road Sun Conference win, 79-69.
