U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (November 4, 2022)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team had another dominating win against Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO). The Bobcats advance to 3-0 on the young season and will play the University of the Virgin Islands tomorrow for the second time in three games.

The Bobcats started off hot again with a three-pointer made by big man D'andre Johnson assisted by
Fred Mulbah.
Milton Matthews got going early getting STU's next basket by driving the net for the layup, once again assisted by Mulbah who was all over the floor today.
Milton Matthews went on to hit back to back threes and then a jumper and the Bobcats started to take control.

Jordan Hernandez hit a three ball, and would go onto hit three more over the course of the game.
Milton Matthews hit another from behind the arch giving STU a 19-9 lead. Matthews shot 4-7, 57.1% at the three-point line. After dishing the rock out like a good point guard does,
Fred Mulbah put points up of his own driving to the net for a tough lay in the paint.

Staying hot
Jordan Hernandez hit back to back threes of his own, both assisted by
Milton Matthews, and the Bobcats took a 27-14 lead. The STU defense pressed SUNO suffocating them causing turnovers, and after some back and forward play,
Dalon Dean hit two from behind the arch. Nearing the end of the first half,
Justyn Rogers was fouled and hit both free throws at the line, and laid one in for the last points of the half 49-33.

The second half opened with a
Milton Matthews three pointer, and the Bobcats were right back in business.
Fred Mulbah continued his dominance in the second half scoring again on a fast break.
Daniel Ogoro had a solid game driving the net for STU's next points. Ogoro would head to the line and hit both shots making it 66-46.Â

Joshua Thrower checked in late and made an impact, scoring in the paint for two.
James Harris III also checked in late for STU and also had a tough lay in the paint, assisted by Thrower. The last points of the game came from
Jordan Hernandez with a three ball from
Fred Mulbah.
