WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 28, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team defeated one of the top teams in the Sun Conference, the Keiser Seahawks, by a score of 91-83. The Bobcats were led by
Dalon Dean with 26 points, and five others with double digit points.

The game started out with the Seahawks getting going early. Keiser got to seven points quick, with
D'Andre Johnson tying it up at seven with shot from behind the arch.
Dalon Dean gave STU the go ahead with a three-point shot right after, to take the lead.Â

After some back and forth,
Milton Matthews gave the Bobcats the lead, making one from behind the arch. The Seahawks went on to tie the game up, but
Justyn Rogers tied the game up with a shot just outside the paint.Â

Taking the lead by three, the Seahawks went on to tie it up with a three of their own, and taking the lead with another three right after. Being down by one,
Jordan Hernandez gave the Bobcats the lead, by driving to the basket for the contested lay-up. With 42-seconds to go, the Seahawks drove to the basket, making the easy lay in, to take an eight-point lead into the locker room.Â

The second half started with
D'Andre Johnson giving the Bobcats momentum throwing one down.
Dalon Dean got the game to within two with another three from deep, followed by
Fred Mulbah driving to the net for two of his own.Â

Just when it looked like Keiser was going to run away with it, the Bobcats had other plans. STU worked the game all the way from a deficit of eight-points, with
Milton Matthews hitting a jumper, and
Jordan Hernandez drilling one from deep.

Fred Mulbah gave STU the lead throwing one down.
Jordan Hernandez tied the game up with two seconds remaining to send the game to overtime. The Bobcats dominated in overtime withÂ
Milton Matthews getting it started by diving to the net for the lay in. Never stopping,
Fred Mulbah and
Dalon Dean sealed the deal for STU giving the Bobcats an eight-point lead to end it.Â
