MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 29, 2023) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Swimming team kicked off their 2023-24 campaign with a glimpse into a matchup we will see more from down the line this season. The Bobcats welcomed Keiser University down to the Miami Dade North Aquatics Center on Friday afternoon. In a big test to start the year, STU fell 156-106 to the Seahawks. Keiser was last year's c national champion as St. Thomas finished the runner up.

Dual Notes

• Laureyssens and Montero led the pack with 18 points each.
• STU won four individual events and the free relay.
• The Bobcats A and B team swept top two in the free relay.
• This is the first time the Bobcats open the season against a ranked opponent. 
• This is the second meeting with the Seahawks in a dual fashion.

Upcoming

St. Thomas will compete at the TYR Fall Classic hosted by Florida International down at their Biscayne campus. This is the second time the Bobcats have been invited. It will be a two-day event on October 6-7.
