Miami Gardens, Fla. – Playing at AutoNation Field for the first time this fall on Saturday evening, the St. Thomas Rugby Team recovered from an early deficit against Millenia Atlantic University to prevail 33-19.

MAU started the contest strong and put themselves in prime position for 20 minutes before scoring their their first try, adding an unconverted try to take a 12-0 lead late in the first half. Matubatuba got STU on the scoreboard before halftime.

The Bobcats' attack began to crack MAU's defense in the second half, getting successful tries from Mapani, Adamo, Matt Artera and Matija Pelva all converted on tries  down the stretch to put STU ahead.

STU have a week off from the XVs game as they travel to USF for the Florida 7s championship Nov 23rd.
