Bobcats Route Warriors in Return to Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, FL (NOVEMBER 20, 2024) - The Bobcats routed the visiting Webber International Warriors by a score of 67-34.

In the 1984 Sunshine State Conference Men's Basketball Semifinal, the Bobcats allowed 33 points, one shy of today's total.

The Bobcats jumped out to a hot start, nailing early 3 pointers and jumping out to a sizable lead early in the first half.

The Warriors, on the other hand, struggled shooting the ball throughout the entire game. Webber posted a total percentage of 22.2% from the field.

The Warriors offensive struggles can be attributed to strong St. Thomas defense, and winning the rebound battle, with 50 total.

Since the defense was strong, the Bobcats were able to limit the Warriors to just 9 points in the first half, the lowest in program history.

The second half was much of the same, with the Bobcats distancing themselves more and more as the clock ran.

The home team cashed in with a stellar performance from senior Dalon Dean, who contributed with 20 points, with most of them coming from beyond the arc.

Junior Esteban Lluberes also did well from 3 as well, shooting 50% from 3 totalling 14 points.

Junior Adrian Cruz was not too far behind, with 13 points.

The Bobcats will look to continue their offensive prowess on Saturday, November 23, vs Southeastern.

Tip off is set for 4pm at the Fernandez Family Center.
