Dominant Offense Gives STU the Edge Over Coastal Georgia

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 3, 2024) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Basketball team defeated Coastal Georgia in commanding fashion. The Bobcats were led by Josh Taylor, who had 21 points and nine rebounds.
 
The game kicked off with a missed 3-pointer by Coastal, and St. Thomas quickly responded with a good jumper by Josh Taylor that was assisted by Daniel Ogoro. The Bobcats continued to build their lead with a layup by Milton Matthews. The first half saw a series of turnovers and steals, with both teams actively contesting each other. Coastal's Langford and St. Thomas' Anthony Harris made significant contributions on both ends of the court. The scoreboard reflected the competitive nature of the game, with both teams exchanging points.
 
STU showcased their three-point shooting skills, with Jordan Hernandez and Matthews sinking crucial shots from beyond the arc. Coastal responded with impressive plays, keeping the game close. As the first half progressed, St. Thomas managed to extend their lead, thanks to effective free throws and solid plays from Josh Taylor and Anthony Harris.
