BABSON PARK, FLORIDA (NOVEMBER 19, 2025) -
The St. Thomas University Bobcats fell short on the road Wednesday night, dropping a 59–53 battle to the Webber International Warriors in a defensive, grind-it-out Sun Conference matchup.
St. Thomas struggled to find consistent rhythm offensively, shooting 32.2 percent from the field and 20.7 percent from beyond the arc. Despite the cold shooting night, the Bobcats stayed within striking distance thanks to a strong effort on the glass, outrebounding Webber International 46–28, including 14 offensive rebounds.
Kaleb Myers led St. Thomas with 15 points and 12 rebounds, recording a double-double while battling in the paint on both ends. Esteban Lluberes added 13 points, knocking down three triples, and Donovan Mitchell contributed 11 points, 10 rebounds, and two assists for his own double-double. Adrian Cruz finished with 11 points and four assists, and Colin Nutter pulled down eight boards in his 25 minutes of action.
St. Thomas' offensive miscues proved costly, as the team committed 16 turnovers and shot just 9-for-17 from the free-throw line.
Webber International capitalized on timely scoring and steadier shooting. The Warriors were led by Jacob Rice, who came off the bench to score 14 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor. Nirobi Peeler Jr. added 13 points, including four made threes, and Landon Tillman and Johnny Torrence Jr. each contributed nine points. The Warriors shot 37.3 percent overall and hit eight threes, finishing 13-of-19 from the free-throw line.
Despite a late push from the Bobcats, Webber International held firm down the stretch, securing the win with key defensive stops and free throws in the final minutes.
St. Thomas moves forward looking to regroup and turn the page as they Lakeland, Florida, to take on Southeastern on Friday, November 21.
