KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE (NOVEMBER 29, 2025) - The St. Thomas University men's basketball team opened "The Show" with a composed and controlled performance, defeating the Life University Running Eagles 59–48 in Kingsport, Tennessee.

St. Thomas set the tone early, using strong rebounding and efficient ball movement to build an advantage that grew to a 21-point lead just three seconds into the second half. Though Life University battled to stay within reach, the Bobcats' defense and timely outside shooting ensured they maintained control throughout the game.

Esteban Lluberes led the way with 23 points in a full 40-minute effort, knocking down six three-pointers and adding five rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Noah Tovar provided a major lift off the bench with 12 points on four made threes, along with eight rebounds and four assists. Adrian Cruz scored eight points and grabbed five boards, while Kaleb Myers added seven points and eight rebounds in the paint. Joshua Thrower anchored the interior with 10 rebounds, contributing to St. Thomas winning the rebounding battle 48–35.

St. Thomas shot 36.2 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from three, while holding Life University to 33.3 percent shooting overall and just 20 percent from deep.

Life University was paced by Brashon Hall with 16 points on 7-of-12 shooting. Shane Stevenson added 13 points and five rebounds, but the Running Eagles struggled to find consistency offensively and finished with 12 turnovers.
