MARION, INDIANA (NOVEMBER 6, 2025). — The St. Thomas University men's basketball team battled hard on the road but ultimately fell to 6thranked Indiana Wesleyan University, 93–68, on Thursday night.
Despite a strong second-half surge, the Bobcats couldn't overcome the Wildcats' hot shooting and balanced scoring attack.
Senior forward Kaleb Myers led the way for St. Thomas with 17 points and 4 rebounds, showing efficiency in the paint and at the line, where he went 7-for-10. Adrian Cruz followed closely with 16 points, while Esteban Lluberes added 15 points and 4 assists, connecting on 8-of-9 from the free-throw line.
The Bobcats shot 43.8% from the field and 70% from the line but struggled defensively with an Indiana Wesleyan offense that shot a blistering 60% overall and 61% from beyond the arc.
For the Wildcats, Julius Gizzi led all scorers with 21 points, hitting 5-of-6 from deep, while Caedmon Bontrager added 17 points and 6 rebounds. DJ Moore chipped in 12 points and 8 assists to pace the Wildcats offense, which posted 21 assists on 33 made baskets.
Indiana Wesleyan opened the game on a 16-4 run and never looked back, taking a 48–23 halftime lead. St. Thomas found rhythm after the break, outscoring the Wildcats in the paint and converting 20 second-half free throws, but IWU's perimeter shooting kept the game out of reach.
The Bobcats' bench contributed 15 points, highlighted by Colin Nutter's 7 points and Flavio Kolmann's 5.
St. Thomas will look to bounce back as they continue their road swing against Marion, on Saturday, November 8 in Indianapolis.
