Bobcats Cruise Past Knights in First Game in U.S Virgin Islands

ST THOMAS U.S VIRGIN ISLANDS (DECEMBER 11,2025). — The St. Thomas University Bobcats used a dominant offensive showing and a strong defensive performance to defeat the Southern University of New Orleans Knights, 86–65, on U.S Virgin Island soil. 

St. Thomas controlled the matchup from the opening tip, building a 46–29 lead at halftime and maintaining steady control in the second half. The Bobcats showcased impressive depth, finishing with four players in double figures.

Kaleb Myers led all scorers with 24 points, providing efficient offense around the rim while securing key rebounds. Colin Nutter added 13 points with a mix of perimeter and mid-range scoring. Adrian Cruz contributed 14  points, and Esteban Luberres added 16 to round out the Bobcats' balanced attack.

St. Thomas shot 28-for-51 from the floor (54.9 percent) and knocked down nine three-pointers. Their defensive pressure held SUNO to 23-of-59 shooting (39.0 percent) and forced the Knights into low-percentage attempts throughout the night.

SUNO was paced by Jaylon Hicks with 13 points while Devin Daniels finished with 6 points. Although the Knights made small pushes in the second half, they were unable to overcome the Bobcats' efficiency and overall depth.

St. Thomas won several key statistical categories, including points in the paint (32–24),  and defensive stops (41) compared to the knights' 34 stops . The Bobcats' largest lead stretched to 25 points as they maintained control from start to finish.

With the win, St. Thomas University starts off their U.S Virgin Islands campaign and look to continue their win streak tomorrow, as they face Dillard University.
