Waverly, Ga. – Kicking off their championship season at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invitational, the St. Thomas University Men's Golf Team finished 10th out of 17 teams while the Women's Team placed 11th out of 14 teams.

HOW IT HAPPENED (MEN):
- Shooting three-under par in the opening round, Anthony Amoroso ended the 54-round event with a 217 (+1) card to tie for 12th.
- Ben Van Hollebeke recorded a 226 (+10) score to tie for 41st.
- Jose Vargas tied for 61st behind a 236 (+20) score.
- Juan Suarez ended the event with a 239 (+23) score to tie for 70th.
- Sebastian Sabella used a 242 (+26) score to tie for 74th.

STANDOUT PERFORMERS (WOMEN):
- Mary Katherin McNamara recorded a team-low 161 (+17) 36-hole score to tie for 31st.
- Andrea Kreken-Randsted used a 169 (+25) card to tie for 46th.
- Allison Strong tied for 51st behind a 172 (+28) score.
- Nicole Hechevarria ended play with a 174 (+30) card to tie for 55th.
- Nayshla Vergara rounded out the Bobcats with a 180 (+36) mark that tied for 61st.
