Miami Gardens, Fla. - Looking to wrap up an undefeated home schedule on Friday afternoon, the 12th-ranked St. Thomas men's volleyball team overcame an opening-set loss to Life University in a 3-1 (23-25, 25-119, 25-20, 25-15) triumph.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Set 1 – Life scored back-to-back points with a tied 23-all score to take the opening set. 

• Set 2 – STU scored the opening six points of the second set and never trailed in the stanza, fending off a late Life rally that got them within two at 21-19 

• Set 3 – The Bobcats broke an 8-8 stalemate early in the third set behind a 4-0 run, maintaining the lead for the duration of the frame. 

• Set 4 – STU scored the opening two points of the fourth set while holding the visitors without a run greater than two to close out the match. 

 
NOTEWORTHY: 

• Kaelen Ingram paced the offense behind 17 kills on a .324 hitting percentage. 

• Matheus Collares recorded a double-double behind 39 assists and 10 digs. 

• Gabriel Pavao Vianna tallied 15 dis. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• STU finished the match with 50 kills on a .324 hitting percentage versus 43 kills on a .186 clip for the Life. 

• St. Thomas served 10 aces versus nine for Life.
