Eureka, Ill. – Led by a 12-kill, .750 hitting percentage showing from
Ian Izquierdo on Wednesday evening, the third-ranked St. Thomas University Men's Volleyball Team swept Eureka College (27-25, 25-16, 25-12) on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Bobcats withstood an 11-3 rally by the host that propelled them to set point in the opening frame at 24-23, knotting the score at 24-all before countering an Eureka point that gave them another set point with three-straight to take the stanza.
- STU took the lead early in the second set at 7-2 behind a 5-0 run and kept the lead above three for the rest of the frame.
- St. Thomas scored the first point of the third set and never trailed in the stanza to complete the sweep.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Izquierdo paced the offense behind 12 kills on a .750 hitting percentage.
- Javaun Thomas added 10 kills on a .421 clip while adding a team-best eight digs.
- Timothy Reyes dished out 30 assists.
