Miami, Fla. - Women's Swimming & Diving finished seventh out of seven teams this weekend in the TYR Fall Classic. The event was hosted by Florida International University and featured many NCAA Division I teams and some top NAIA teams. The results were:

Day one of the meet was highlighted by captain Emma Phillips finishing fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke. Phillips finished with a time of 1:06.63, which was higher than multiple NCAA Division I times in the A final. Freshman Ingeborg Marie Smehaug also finished sixth in the 400-yard IM with a 4:49.24 time.
On day two of the meet, Phillips finished sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke, with a 2:27.39 time. Smehaug again finished sixth in the A final in the 200-yard IM with a 2:13.92 time. In the B finals of the 200-yard butterfly, Celina Myers finished 13th, ahead of two other racers, with a time of 2:18.55.
The Bobcats will return to action on Friday, October 16, as they will travel to face Indian River State College. The meet is scheduled to start at 11:00 am in Fort Pierce, Fla.
