In the season opener at Bethel (Tenn.), Beverly scored 24 points while playing just 21 minutes. He went 8-for-9 from the field, including 4-for-5 from behind the arc. He also added seven rebounds and four blocks in the win over the Lions.
In Men's Soccer, Manuel Dominguez was named Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week. The Buenos Aires, Argentina, native was credited with two assists in the Bobcats' 2-1 win over Southeastern. Dominguez's first assist came in the 53rd minute, when he sent a cross that was scored for the Bobcats' first goal of the night. He was then credited with an assist on the game-winning goal when the corner kick deflected off him which was later scored. Those two assists are the only two assists Dominguez has this season.
