MIAMI GARDENS, FLA (February 11, 2026) — St. Thomas University delivered a memorable performance on Senior Night, pulling away in the second half to defeat Warner University, 82–68, on Wednesday evening at Fernandez Family Center.
Behind a dominant all-around effort from senior Adrian Cruz, the Bobcats honored their graduating class in style, using an explosive offensive showing after halftime to secure the victory. Cruz poured in a game-high 36 points on an efficient 14-of-21 shooting from the field, knocking down four three-pointers while adding nine rebounds and five assists to pace STU.
The game remained competitive early, with Warner hanging close through the first half as the Bobcats struggled at the free-throw line. Despite shooting just 22.2 percent from the stripe in the opening 20 minutes, St. Thomas took a slim advantage into the break.
STU flipped the switch after halftime, shooting 67.9 percent from the floor in the second half and outscoring the Royals 19–12 at the foul line over the final period. The Bobcats pushed the tempo, controlled the paint, and built their lead to as many as 16 points late.
Kaleb Myers delivered an efficient outing with 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while Colin Nutter added 13 points and Esteban Lluberes chipped in nine. Senior Noah Tovar impacted the game beyond the box score, finishing with six points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two blocks.
Warner was led by Marcel Pace, who scored 23 points, and Seth Childers, who added 16 points and six rebounds in the loss. The Royals shot 40.4 percent from the field but were limited to just three made three-pointers on the night.
St. Thomas finished the contest shooting 58.2 percent overall and held a decisive 40–28 rebounding advantage, controlling the interior with 44 points in the paint.
