MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. -  The St. Thomas Bobcats and the Life (Ga.) Running Eagles battled through a tense defensive showdown.

Life had the first opprotunity but couldn't break through as the Bobcat defense forced an early punt. St. Thomas answered with sharp connections from Lia Cruz and Sherice Newton to Nyla Gigger, only to see the drive end in a red-zone interception. The pattern held all day—long drives, big stops, and momentum swings. Just before halftime, Mia Hastings intercepted a pass at the goal line to keep the game scoreless.

In the fourth quarter, Life reached the six-yard line but was denied on four straight plays. Regulation ended 0–0.
