Miami Gardens, Fla. – Led by a double-double effort from
Kaelen Ingram on Monday evening, the St. Thomas University Men's Volleyball team overcame an opening set loss to visiting Oakland City in a 3-1 (20-15, 25-16, 25-14, 25-20) victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Trailing late in the opening set 21-16, the Bobcats rallied to get within two at 21-19 only for an equal response from Oakland City forcing set point.
- After splitting the opening 14 points of the second set, the Bobcats went on a 12-2 run to boast a double-digit advantage at 19-9 and kept the lead above eight for the rest of the frame.
- The Bobcats countered an opening point by the Mighty Oaks with three-straight and kept the lead for the rest of the set.
- St. Thomas withstood a 4-0 rally by the visitors that gave them a 17-16 lead with seven of the ensuing eight points to move two points away from ending the match.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Ingram tallied a team-best 17 kills with 11 digs for a double-double.
- Gabriel Negrao added 15 kills on a .423 hitting percentage with three service aces and five digs.
- Michael Marsans added 10 kills and four service aces
- Cameron Gray anchored the defense behind 18 digs.
- Arturo Diaz-dube boasted three solo blocks and three assisted for six total.
- Rafael Obrusnik dished out 41 assists.

- The Bobcats ended the match with 49 kills on a .347 hitting percentage; Oakland City tallied 35 on a .139 clip.
- STU served 11 aces while the visitors logged eight.
