Ahman Ellington

Ahman Ellington enters his second season as Graduate Assistant. Coach Ellington is involved with all aspects of the program. His primary responsibilities are player development, game scouting, academic advising, and the day to day operation of the developmental team. Ellington was instrumental with the development of five All-Conference athletes, including 2nd team All-American Milton Matthews.

Started his career at St. Thomas University during the 2019-20 season. Played with the Bobcats for 4 years (2019-2023) before beginning his coaching career during the 2023-24 season. Made school history by reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history. Won 20+ games in 2 seasons while competing in three conference championships throughout 4 seasons.

Ellington was a 3x Sun Conference All-Academic honors and won the Champion of Character award in 2022-23, which he was awarded during before the Sweet 16 game vs Tugaloo in Kansas City, Mo.

Ellington earned his degree in Sports Administration from St. Thomas and is currently finishing his MBA in Sports Administration. Ellington is originally from Birmingham, Alabama and played at nationally recognized Hoover High School.
