Coach Kayla Slovenec, a Pittsburgh, PA - native, joins the Bobcats from Saint Vincent College (PA.), where she graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and a minor in Marketing.
Kayla excelled as a guard for the Bearcats for four years. During her time at SVC , Slovenec appeared in 112 games, starting 87, shot 41% from the field, and scored 818 career points. Kayla led her team in winning a PAC Championship and advancing to the National Tournament in 2019. While playing in the President’s Athletic Conference, Kayla was named All-PAC Honorable Mention and was a member for the PAC Spring Academic Honor Roll.
Coach Kayla Slovenec is the second female assistant coach for a men’s program in the state of Florida and third active woman assistant coach. She has been featured in many news articles and the WSVN Channel 7 news. Kayla is pursuing her Master’s in Business Administration in Marketing
