St. Thomas University Bobcats

Diego has been part of STU Rugby since its inaugural season in Fall 2022, serving as an assistant coach working with the forwards and defense — first as a volunteer, then transitioning to paid staff in August 2025. Each summer, he also coaches with the Florida Jaguares, where he won back-to-back U15 RCT national championships in 2018 and 2019, and previously coached at Okapi Wanderers, where he was a U15 state runner-up in 2018.

During his time at STU, the program has won a Florida D2 State Championship, two FCC D1AA state titles, a CRAA D1AA 15s national championship, an FCC 7s state championship, and a CRAA D1AA 7s national championship.
