BIOGRAPHY
Ryan Meizoso enters his fourth season at St. Thomas and his third leading the Bobcats’ Cross Country program, arriving to Miami Gardens as an assistant coach in 2022 before taking the reigns of the program in 2023. Along with running the Cross Country program, Meizoso also assists with the Track and Field Program.
 
During the 2024 campaign he developed Martin Ahlstrom into the Sun Conference Male Runner of the Year after finishing first at the Conference Championship Meet. Both the Men and Women had representation at the NAIA National Championship, with Isabella Marty joining Ahlstrom in Columbia, Mo. On the Track and Field side the Bobcats swept the Sun Conference’s 2024 Freshmen of the Year awards with Tonyan Beckford taking the Women’s award at the Outdoor Championship alongside the League’s Most Valuable Performer while Elijah Smith and Landan Creighton shared Male Co-Freshmen of the Year distinction. Beckford’s outdoor season concluded with All-American status in both the 200 and 400 Meter events.
 
In the first season of Cross Country the Men’s placed 5th overall and Women’s placed 4th overall. In the previous season before Coach Ryan was on staff St. Thomas Men’s placed 8th overall and Womens placed 7th overall. In his second season of coaching Track and field he coached the men’s and women's Sun Conference champion in the 800m. Also, coached his men’s 1st all American in the 800m and his 1st women's national qualifier.
 
In his first season at St. Thomas he coached a Sun Conference champion and a national qualifier in the men’s 800m. The following season he was promoted to assistant men’s and women's for Cross Country and Track and Field.

Before coming to St. Thomas University, Ryan coached at Ft. Lauderdale High School for a year and coached at Nova High School for four years. Ryan also has an AAU Track team where he has coached multiple AAU state champions and an AAU national champion. He is USATF level I and II certified and has his USATFCCCA Strength and conditioning certification.
