BACKGROUND/COACHING PHILOSOPHY

Isabella “Izzy” Gable
Isabella “Izzy” Gable grew up in a small town in Ohio, chasing the dream of becoming an Olympian. From an early age, swimming became the center of her world. She drove an hour each way to practice, devoted countless hours to training, and even transitioned to online school in high school to make room for morning workouts, private lessons, swim camps, personalized training, and nutrition coaching.

Her journey led to state records, national rankings, and collegiate competition at the University of Tennessee, Lindenwood University, and later Calvin University—giving her firsthand experience across all three NCAA divisions. Along the way, Izzy faced her share of challenges, including injuries, chronic illness, and the mental strain of a relentless pursuit of perfection. She moved between teams and cities searching for her place, ultimately discovering that swimming didn’t define her—it shaped her. The sport gave her resilience, perspective, and a deep appreciation for the relationships that carried her through the hardest moments.

As a coach, Izzy is passionate about building what she calls a “tribe”—a team grounded in trust, support, and unwavering belief in one another. Every competitive swimmer faces moments when the sport feels overwhelming, when their love for racing runs dry, and they question why they’re still showing up. In the right team environment, the answer becomes clear: it’s found in the teammates and coaches standing beside them, rooting for their success and willing them to keep pushing forward.

Izzy believes that when a team truly invests in each other, they unlock strength and perseverance beyond what they thought possible. Her philosophy aligns with Head Coach Caesar Asadi’s mission: to build better humans. She strives to help athletes grow not just in the pool but in life, equipping them with confidence, resilience, and a sense of belonging that endures long after they hang up their goggles.
