Miami Lakes, FL - The St. Thomas University volleyball team hosted two games over the weekend playing the Warner Southern College Royals and the Ave Maria Gyrenes.  Through the two games Bobcat fans saw the team play in peaks in valleys.  By the end of the day they also saw the Bobcats win two games.

 

The Bobcats defeated the Royals 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 26-24, 21-25, 11-15).  Nicole Molander-Barraza led the team in kills during the match with 19, hitting .429.  Fernanda Neves was also key in the Sun Conference match for the Bobcats she scored nine service aces and totaled 45 assists for the Bobcats.

 

Against the Gyrenes the Bobcats started slow losing the first game 25-14 but were able to regroup for the next three and would win the match 3-1 (25-14, 21-25, 24-26, 12-25).  Adriana Montilla was brilliant for the Bobcats totaling 15 kills.  The Bobcats will play again October 17, at home at Barbara Goleman High School against Edward Watters at 7 PM.
