MIAMI SHORES, FL. Sunday Ogundaise scored in the second minute of the match, but the Bobcats were held scoreless from that point on, as their game against the Barry Buccaneers ended in a 2-1 loss Wednesday.  Ogundaise gathered a misplayed ball in the Barry backfield to create a breakaway opportunity, and after his first shot attempt was blocked, he chipped his rebound attempt through the pipes for the early lead.

Sascha Koettig had a goal and an assist for Barry in the come-from-behind win at Buccaneer Field, with the eventual game winner coming 45 minutes after Ogundaise's initial strike.  The second goal was created when Wendell James flipped a pass to Koettig at the top of the 18-yard box and blasted a shot to the far post past Bobcat keeper Aaron Jones.  The equalizing goal came in the 33rd minute when Koettig took a free kick from 24 yards out and James flicked it to Vuk Kojic who slotted it home.

Jones, who was the Sun Conference's defensive player-of-the-week last week, again played well for the Bobcats recording 11 saves and facing 23 shots.  The offense again did not provide the necessary spark to put the Bobcats over the top, although they did record 8 shots on goal.  Ogundaise was solid all game with all three of his shots being on goal, while Luis Campo and reigning Sun Conference offensive player-of-the-week Thiago Rocha each had two opportunities directed at the net.

The Bobcats now stand at 5-6-2 for the season and will take on Johnson & Wales this Saturday at Bobcats Field at 3:30 pm.  Entering the final four games of the season, the 'Cats are trying to hold onto their fourth place spot in the Sun Conference, which would qualify them for postseason play.

After the Johnson & Wales matchup, the final three contests are against Sun Conference opponents to decide who will go on to play in the Sun Conference semi-finals on November 11th.  St. Thomas will host Embry-Riddle, and travel to Warner Southern and Webber International the final two weeks of the season.
