WEST PALM BEACH, FLAdriana Montilla's 15 kills led an accurate Bobcat (8-13, 5-4 in the Sun Conference) volleyball attack against the Northwood University Seahawks, (11-16, 6-6 in SC).  Unfortunately for St. Thomas it was not enough to secure victory, they lost 3-2 (25-19, 25-19, 18-25, 22-25, 13-15).

During the match the Bobcats put together a hitting percentage of .371, significantly better than the Seahawks .176.  Hustling to set all of the kills making up that percentage was Fernanda Neves, she had all 18 of the Bobcat assists in the match.

The Seahawks were able to make up for the difference in hitting percentages with their play at the net and defense.  The Seahawks totaled 10.5 team blocks and were able to tally 103 digs.  Both numbers dwarf the totals for the Bobcats, they had two total team blocks, and 35 digs.  Julianne Rivera had 22 of those digs.  The Bobcats will play again October 24 at the Savannah College of Art and Design volleyball tournament.
