STU holds on to win on the road

Lake Wales, FL- The STU volleyball (11-16, conf. 7-5) team holds on to win vs Warner Southern University (4-10, conf. 9-21) The Bobcats put up a tremendous effort which granted them their first 5 set comeback win on the road this season by scores of (25-12,21-25,19-25,23-25,15-9) . The offense was led by Adriana Montilla (Jr. Oh) on an emotional night, who amassed a season high 25 kills during the game while hitting at a .675 clip, she averaged 5 kills per set while also recording a double-double with 15 digs. Karla Vargas had her best showing this season with 14 kills doing so in a .578 hitting average, Lauren Wilson also contributed to the team with 14 kills and 7 digs as well. Nicole Molander-Barraza presented a big block all night as she obtained 7 blocks for the match. Julianne Rivera recorded 17 digs. Fernanda Neves guided the offense with 52 assists, she also had 9 digs. Bobcats to close conference play as they play a double header tomorrow Nov. 1st @ Webber International University at 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
