Babson Park and Lake Wales, Fla- The Women's Soccer team began a 2-game road trip Friday with a match against Webber Int'l. The ladies suffered a tough loss falling 1-2. The back end of the road trip came against Warner Sunday afternoon. Again, the ladies fell 1-2.
Against WIU, the ladies gave up the match's first goal in just the 6th minute. STU stepped its defense up and eventually tied the match in the 56th minute on a Sylvia Palermo goal assisted by Lotta Vartia. The Warriors were able to find the game's final goal in the 58th minute to finish the match 2-1.
The Sunday match against Warner was all about the first half. Cindy Rivera gave the Bobcats the lead in the 31st minute assisted by Sylvia Palermo. Warner leveled the match just five minutes later and eventually took the lead minutes before halftime. No goals were scored in the second half and the match ended 2-1.
The Bobcats move to 5-9-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference. STU will play Palm Beach Atlantic Wednesday at 4PM at Bobcat Field.
