Miami Gardens, Fla.- The Lady Bobcats played spoiler to the Northwood Seahawks' perfect Sun Conference record Friday.  STU won their final match of the season 1-0.

The Seahawks entered Bobcat Field with an 7-0 conference record and a 11th overall NAIA ranking.  The Bobcats proved that they came to play by shutting out the best team in the Sun Conference. Goalkeeper Ariana Lorenzo made six saves to keep the Seahawks scoreless.

The Bobcats only goal was scored by Freshman Sylvia Palmero.  Palmero scrambled to the box and met the keeper near the eighteen. Palmero's shot was deflected off the keeper and over her head.  The ball bounced into the net for the match's only goal.  

The Bobcats finished the season at 6-9-2 and 4-4-1 in the Sun Conference.
