Ave Maria, Fla- The Men's Soccer team traveled to Ave Maria Saturday afternoon for conference competition.  The Bobcats came out with the victory 4-2.

The Bobcats jumped to an early lead with a goal in just the 3rd minute of the match.  Thiago Rocha finished the goal with an assist by Gabe Renteria. The Bobcats weren't quite finished in the first half as they added goals from Jairon Moreno and Mike Hinden, both assisted by Daniel De La Cruz.  The Bobcats took a 3-1 lead heading into the half.

STU opened the second half the same way they began the game with a goal just two minutes in.  Mike Hinden scoredagain, unassisted, in the 47th minute of the match.  The Gyrenes of Ave Maria were able to add a second goal but it was not enough to hold off the Bobcats.  STU is currently on a 6-game win streak (7-2-2 overall, 3-1 in TSC) and will face a tough conference opponent in Embry-Riddle Wednesday, October 7th.  The match will take place at Bobcat Field at 4 PM.
