Lady Bobcats come up short against Eagles

Women's Soccer loses 1-2 against Embry-Riddle

Miami Gardens, Fla.-  The Women's Soccer team fought a tough battle, but came up short losing to Embry-Riddle 1-2.

The Lady Bobcats welcomed the Eagles of Embry-Riddle to Bobcat Field Sunday afternoon for Sun Conference action.  The matches first goal came in the 20th minute by ERU's Hannah Lunqvist.  The Bobcats struggled in the first half with only two shots taken, and the period ended 1-0 in favor of the Eagles.


The Eagles scored again in the 59th minute of the match making the score 2-0.  The Bobcats showed some fire following the Eagle's second goal when Pryscilla Magloire drew a foul in ERU's box leading to a penalty kick.  Tonya Uber took the PK and scored in the 60th minute.  The Bobcats tried to claw back with their ten shots in the second half but were unable to level the match.  The women's soccer team now stands at 2-7-1 overall and will get a break before their next match.  The Bobcats welcome Northwood to Bobcat Field Friday, October 9 at 3 PM.
