Men's Soccer Comes Up Short Against Embry-Riddle in Conference Tourney

Daytona Beach, Fla.- The Men's Soccer team traveled to Embry-Riddle to face the Eagles in the first-round of the Sun Conference Tournament Saturday.  Unfortunately, the Bobcats came up a little short losing 5-4 on PKs.

The Eagles scored the match's first goal in the 16th minute.  Eran Belo leveled the match for the Bobcats in the second half off a penalty kick in the 86th minute.  Regular time ended in a 1-1 tie, and no goals were scored in either period of extra time.  Following overtime was an initial round of four penalty kicks per team.  Both teams went 3-1.  Both teams scored on their fifth kick and both failed on their sixth.  Miyen Spinneli took the Bobcats' seventh PK and failed to score.  The Eagles' Sam Litchfield scored the game winning goal taking Embry-Riddle to the Sun Conference Championship game.  Warner lost to SCAD 3-0, and will face the Eagles in the Championship.

The Bobcats finish the season 10-5-4 overall and 6-2-1 in the Sun Conference.
