MIAMI LAKES, Fla.- The Bobcat women's basketball team traveled across town to face Barry University (2-1) Tuesday night.  STU dropped its third consecutive game, 51-58.

The first half started out fairly even, as the Bucs held a one-point lead with five minutes remaining.  From there, Barry went on a 13-3 run and took an 11-point advantage heading into the half.  The Bobcats struggled shooting in the first half, hitting just 8-29 (27.6%).

Barry built their lead early in the second half, reaching a 17-point difference at one time.  STU wasn't finished yet, and went on a 15-2 run trimming the lead down to three points with a minute and a half remaining.  However, a three-pointer, an offensive rebound, and a few free throws were enough for Barry to build a seven-point advantage in the game's final seconds.

Cindy Castrillon led all scorers with 21 on 5-17 shooting.  Alexandria Vanterpool had a solid game with 12 points and 7 rebounds.  The Bobcats shot just 65% from the free-throw line and 33% from the field with 25% coming from beyond the arc. STU (1-3) will travel to Southeastern Saturday for a 6 PM game.
