Miami Gardens, Fla.- The Bobcats and Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish met in a heated match Tuesday afternoon.  Regulation time ended in a 2-2 tie and extra time still resulted with no clear winner.

The Bobcats struck first in the 20th minute on a goal by Senior Gabriel Renteria.  Renteria dribbled in from the right side and laid a hard shot across the goal into the left side of the net.  No goals were scored by either team for the remainder of the first half.

The Sailfish scored early in the second half on a deflected ball that was finished without much hope to defend from the Bobcats. Just minutes later, St. Thomas answered with a goal by Thiago Rocha.  Rocha finished a cross high into the left side of the net, brought in by Gabriel Renteria.  Credit Goalie, Aaron Jones, for bombing a kick from his own box to set Renteria up for the assist. The Sailfish weren't done yet, as they leveled the match with a goal scored after a penalty kick was saved, then rebounded in the 88th minute.  The Bobcats tried to end the match with just seconds left as Forward Piere Ceraphin attempted a bicycle kick that finished a few feet wide of the goal.

Overtime did not disappoint as both teams took several shots on goal, although none were scored.  St. Thomas goalie Aaron Jones had a credible game with 6 saves.  The Bobcats are on the road for their next game where they'll face Spring Hill College in Thomasville, Ga.  The game will be played at 8 pm on Friday.
