Miami Lakes, Fla- The St. Thomas Volleyball played two matches within 18 hours to start the weekend. The first match against ended 3-1 in favor of Webber Int'l. The Bobcats met Warner in their second match, again falling 3-1.
Webber took the first game, 25-22 before St. Thomas battled to a 26-24 victory in the second. Webber won the final two games convincingly, 25-19 and 25-14 respectively. Statistically, the match was fairly even; however, the Warriors edged the Bocats in digs 48-37. Webber improved to a record of 8-3 while St. Thomas dropped to 4-3.
The second match was very similar to the first. Warner took the first game 25-18 and the Bobcats bounced back to a 25-23 victory in the second. Warner dominated the third game 25-15. The Bobcats tried to come back in the fourth, but did not have enough to hold on as Warner took the final game 25-21.
The Bobcats now stand at a record of 4-4 and will return to action Saturday, September 26 at Palm Beach Atlantic at 1 PM.
