Miami Gardens, Fla- The Bobcats welcomed the Northwood Seahawks to Bobcat Field Tuesday afternoon for their second match of the season. The first match ended in a 0-0 tie in West Palm Beach, Fla. Tuesday the Bobcats gained ground in the conference by beating the Seahawks 1-0.
The Seahawks entered the match atop the Sun Conference standings (2-0) and 5-2-1 overall. The Bobcats handed Northwood their first loss in conference play 1-0.
Piere Ceraphin continued the success he's seen all season by finishing a ball brought in by Eran Belo in the 42nd minute.
The remainder of the match got a bit chippy as four yellow cards were issued with three coming in the second half. Goal keeper
Aaron Jones made five saves in the match to post his second shutout of the season. The Bobcats now sit in 3rd place in the Sun Conference with a record of 3-1, and 6-2-2 overall. The men will return to action Saturday, October 3rd where they will travel to Ave Maria for a 5 PM match.
