MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - The Lady Bobcats welcomed the Ave Maria Gyrenes to campus Thursday for a conference match.  STU dominated from start to finish and claimed the 5-0 victory.

The Bobcats controlled possession for the majority of the game and outshot AMU 18-2.  14 of those 18 shots were on frame, 5 of which found the back of the net.  STU controlled the ball so well that they had a hard time staying onsides and were called off 11 times.  Arian Lorenzo was able to record the shutout with a total of 2 saves.

Julyana Cedeno struck first for the Bobcats, just minutes after being subbed in the game.  Cedeno collided with the keeper in a effort at the ball and stuck with it to finish easily into the back of the net.  Amanda Belarmino scored STU's second goal with a nice flush into the left side of the net.   Gabby Smith scored two consecutive goals, the first of which came from a nice collection of a Belarmino corner kick.  Belarmino scored the Bobcats' final goal to put the game away.

STU moves to 5-5-1 and 2-3-1 in the Sun Conference.  The Ladies will face Southeastern at home Saturday at 4 p.m.
